Story
About this place
Victoria Mill, about three kilometres east of Ingham, grew into Australia’s largest cane mill. A ca. 1915 State Library of Queensland view already shows a substantial CSR-era plant on the Herbert plain. Today Wilmar’s Victoria works crush on the order of three million tonnes of cane a season — still paired with nearby Macknade as the Herbert River duo.
