Story
About this place
A third heavy-haul railway, after Goldsworthy/Newman and Hamersley, reached Port Hedland for Fortescue in 2008. Geez-oz caught an empty train (his count: about 2.6 km) on the Turner River bridge. It is not the Tom Price–Dampier line and it is not a Hancock pin. The Turner River country is also where the 1952 flight story is set; this frame is the railway, not that event.
