ADB biography of Galmahra (Jackey Jackey). Confirms he was selected in April 1848 to accompany Edmund Kennedy on the Cape York Peninsula expedition, was with Kennedy when Kennedy was killed near the Escape River, and reached the supply ship on 23 December 1848.
