QHR place 600393. History: culvert constructed late 1864/early 1865 as part of the Dalrymple Gap Track; Dalrymple found the Aboriginal path to the Gap, and with road overseer Conlan marked out the route formed by the government road party; Dalrymple's 22 Feb 1865 letter reports 'substantial culverts'. Significance statement (Criterion A): 'The bridge has an association with the life and work of George Dalrymple'.

The stone culvert was built late 1864/early 1865 by the government road party (overseer Conlan) on the dray road Dalrymple opened over Dalrymple Gap; Dalrymple marked out the route with Conlan and reported on the culverts in Feb 1865. QHR notes the bridge is associated with the life and work of George Dalrymple. Dalrymple did not personally build it.
