Echidna Maps began from a simple idea: every place has a story, but those stories are scattered. Old photos, local memories, forgotten names, family stories, work sites, rail lines, buildings, tracks, mines, farms and landmarks live across archives, books, websites and people’s heads. Echidna Maps brings them back to the map — tied to the places where they happened. It is not meant to be a dry archive. It is something you can open, walk through, add to, and understand. Built for people who like knowing what was here before them.
